In Loving Memory of Ivy
Ivy was loved beyond measure by her family, and she loved them just as deeply — her mama and daddy, her big brother, and her two doggie sisters. We know that her sisters were waiting to greet her in Heaven, alongside Jesus.
She brought endless joy to our lives. Ivy was such a happy girl, and you could always tell by the way her tail wagged — especially when we talked to her or when it was time for a treat. Mealtime and treat time were some of her favorite moments, and she had a way of patting her little feet on the couch and barking until we gave in to whatever she wanted.
She loved going outside. The sound of her feet pattering across the floor as soon as we asked her to go out will always be remembered. Once outside, she would sniff around before finding the perfect spot in the sunshine, looking up and squinting as if she were smiling at the sky.
Every day when we came home, Ivy was there to greet us with joyful barks, snuggles, and kisses, before rolling over for her favorite belly rubs. Each night, without fail, when her daddy turned onto his side, Ivy would lie on her back right beside him, waiting for her nightly belly rub.
She adored car rides — especially when they ended with a pup cup — and she loved vacations, particularly trips to the beach. Ivy also had a special attachment to her favorite toy, Snoopy. She carried him to the living room each day and made sure he returned to bed with her every night.
More than anything, Ivy was a faithful companion. She was by our side for Bible studies, for TV binges, and for quiet afternoon naps. She was truly a part of every piece of our lives.
Though God now holds her in Heaven, Ivy will forever live in our hearts. She is deeply loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
