Deeks Ivey, our beloved fur baby, crossed the rainbow bridge in 2025, leaving behind paw prints forever etched on our hearts. Born with a heart full of loyalty, love, and mischief, Deeks was so much more than just a dog—he was a son, a best friend, a protector, and a treasured member of our family.
A true momma’s boy, Deeks loved nothing more than being outside with his momma, exploring nature, going for rides, and, in his later years, tending to his beloved chickens. Spoiled in every way and treated like the baby he was, Deeks was known for his spirited energy, his love for treats, and his two favorite toys—his moo cow and his infamous poop emoji plush.
Deeks had a life full of adventure and love, and one story stands out as a perfect reflection of his spunky soul:Shortly after moving from Nashville to the wide open spaces of the country, we were all enjoying our new surroundings when an armadillo wandered out of the woods. Without hesitation, Deeks took off across all 13 acres, chasing that critter like he had something to prove. We searched high and low, worried sick, only for Deeks to strut back out of the woods later with the biggest grin on his face, as if to say, “Don’t worry—I showed him who’s boss.” That was Deeks. Brave, full of spirit, and always keeping us on our toes.
He brought joy, laughter, and comfort to every corner of our lives. He was our first baby, our constant companion, and the heartbeat of our home.
Deeks is survived by his loving parents, who adored and cherished him every day of his life. His memory will live on in every sunrise walk, every rustle in the woods, and every squeak of a well-loved toy.
Run free now, sweet boy. You were a good dog—our best boy—and we will love you always.
Rest easy, Deeks.
