Bear
Crafton
Mar 22, 2012 — Sep 9, 2026
For 14 wonderful years, Bear filled his family’s home with love, personality, laughter, and countless memories. From the moment he joined his family at just 6 weeks old, Bear became a cherished part of their lives and a beloved member of the family.
Bear had a personality all his own. He absolutely loved catnip and lick ums, and he was certainly smart enough to make sure he got what he wanted! His family learned to keep the catnip can safely tucked away in the cabinet because, if it was left on the counter, Bear would push it to the edge, knock it onto the floor, wait for the metal lid to come off, and help himself. His clever little routine became one of those memories that will always bring a smile.
Bear also had a very special bond with Sweet. When Sweet came home as a tiny kitten, just 6 weeks old or younger, Bear took him under his wing. He raised him, cared for him, and became his companion and protector. Their bond was something truly special, and Sweet now misses his friend and continues to look for him.
From the time Bear was a baby, he had a special relationship with blankets. His family believes he may have been separated from his mother too early, and throughout his life he found comfort in carrying a blanket with him while sucking on it. It was a sweet little habit that stayed with him throughout his 14 years.
Bear was a beautiful black cat with a loving heart and a personality that could never be replaced. He brought joy into the lives of everyone who knew him and leaves behind a lifetime of stories that his family will treasure.
Bear will always be loved and remembered by Sharon, Robert, Thomas, CJ, Olivia, Charlotte, Teddy, Sweet, and many other family members who were lucky enough to share in his life.
Fourteen years of love, laughter, companionship, and memories. Bear may no longer be by their side, but the love he gave will remain a part of his family forever.
